Nestled in a small valley between the Miravalles, Rincon de la Vieja, and Santa Maria Volcanoes, the ranch is surrounded by an incredible explosion of biodiversity; hidden amidst the dense rainforest live more species than are found in the United States and Canada combined! Nature lovers will be delighted!
Whichever plan you choose (one-day trip, overnight, special program or workshop) this allows you to discover the riches of the rainforest while we show our knowledge and passion for living in harmony with the environment.
At La Anita we grow a wide variety of products: cocoa, heart of palm, cardamom, tropical fruits and vegetables, medicinal plants and a nice variety of exotic tropical flowers. During the Farm Day Tour we show you how we grow and harvest our crops and we share with you some of the traditional recipes of Costa Rica! News to gourmets: the taste of our delicious local cuisine is prepared exclusively with fresh and high quality ingredients! On the menu: heart of palm ceviche, Gallo pinto, Sea bass fish with La Anita's Pesto, Pork chops with Caribbean style sauce, homemade jam, taro chips, among others.
